Cognios Appoints New Chief Executive and Regional VP

(Daily Alts) John Brandmeyer, co-founder of the quantitative asset management firm Cognios Capital, has stepped down as CEO of the company and transitioned to the role of chairman. Replacing Mr. Brandmeyer as chief executive is Gary DiCenzo, who served as a regional VP for Cognios prior to taking on the CEO role. Prior to joining Cognios, Mr. DiCenzo served as CEO of the Chicago-based consulting firm IMC Group, and also led Scout Investment Advisors as President of the Scout Mutual Fund complex, the President & CEO of Scout Distributors and as a board director to the advisor from 2003-2010.
