LAKEVILLE, Conn. (HedgeWorld.com) – National Regulatory Services has released its own anti-money laundering compliance kit to help hedge funds and investment advisers keep up-to-date on the recentdevelopments in the pertinent Treasury, Securities and Exchange Commission and National Association of Securities Dealers regulations.

The online kit includes anti-money laundering written supervisory policies and procedures customized for the firm, required forms, specific information on regulations and other documents. According to an announcement from NRS, the web site will be updated with an email notification going to clients with specific info.

NRS, which is a division of Thomson Media, is a compliance firm specializing in compliance and registration issues for investment advisers, broker-dealers, investment companies and insurance institutions. The firm recently released a survey of that included information on the number of hedge funds managers becoming registered in the United States.

The kit, priced at US$199,is being marketed as an inexpensive tool for hedge fund managers. Its release comes on the heels of Financial Crimes Enforcement Network’s proposed rules that would require SEC-registered investment advisors to establish anti-money laundering policies.

The NRS kit is the second product released recently that offers a solution to compliance hassles. Another compliance firm called Sum2 offered a CD-ROM software package for hedge fund managers for as little as US$3,000.
