Telus girds for battle with U.S. hedge fund

Vancouver Sun – Telus has filed a complaint with the B.C. Securities Commission regarding conduct of a New York hedge fund that happens to be the telecom’s single-largest shareholder.

Telus alleges in the complaint, filed earlier this week, that Mason Capital is “in breach of applicable securities laws and conduct contrary to the public interest” in connection with a Telus proposal to give full voting rights to a wider number of shareholders.
