E.U. Nears ‘Black List’ Legislation for Hedge Funds

NYT – A lawmaker at the European Parliament indicated Tuesday that the E.U. is close to an accord on new hedge-fund legislation that would curb the ability of some offshore funds to raise money from E.U. investors, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The deal would see European authorities create a “black list” of countries to whose funds it would be impossible for Europeans to send their money.
