California hedge fund moving to Miami

World City Web – Universa Investments plans to set up in Miami’s Coconut Grove area, investing $800,000 in its office and increasing its staff from 14 to 25 people within three years, Florida Governor Rick Scott announced.

Universa, founded in 2007, is one the largest hedge funds to move to South Florida since Miami’s Downtown Development Authority started a campaign touting Florida’s zero income tax.
