Hedge Fund Launch: The Quant Global Equities fund

New York (HedgeCo.net) – The Luxembourg Financial Group has launched The Quant Global Equities fund with daily liquidity that will follow the investment strategy of the award winning BVI based QAM Global Equities Fund, and is available initially in both EUR and USD.

“We are really excited about being able to offer our award winning fund in UCITS III form.” Frank Holle, co-founder said, “Our strategy fits perfectly within the UCITS framework and we will have to make no alterations to the way we run our fund.”

The new UCITS III hedge fund will practice a successful investment style called “Top Rights”. Basic philosophy is to buy undervalued stocks with upward earnings revisions and minimize risk in a strictly consistent and disciplined way;

It is entirely driven by dynamic multi-factor models. The majority of a multitude of applied factors are related to the main drivers of share prices: earnings revisions and relative valuations. The portfolio consists of 100 – 200 stocks (long) and a basket of futures (short) based on a dynamic hedging model;

The QAM Global Equities Fund was incepted in April 2004 and has annualised returns of 18.5%. The QAM Global Equities fund was awarded “Best International Fund” by AsiaHedge in 2007.
