New York (HedgeCo.Net) – Forbes put out a list of hedge fund executives with the most pay in 2013. The 25 highest-earning hedge fund managers and traders made $24.3 billion in 2013.
George Soros had the highest pay, $4 billion. He was followed by David Tepper of hedge fund firm Appaloosa Management with $3.5 billion, and Steve Cohen, with $2.3 billion.
To determine the highest-earning hedge fund managers and traders of 2013, Forbes examined hedge fund returns and worked to understand the fee and ownership structure of a wide array of money management firms. Hedge funds generally reap fees equal to 20% of profits and 2% of assets, but found all sorts of variations on this theme.
