Nominations open for European hedge fund awards

Hedge Funds Review – Nominations have opened for the Eleventh European Performance Awards. This year Hedge Funds Review recognises the importance of Ucits hedge funds, adding a section exclusive to this vehicle.

The one-year performance awards highlight a variety of strategies including equity long/short, event driven, global macro and others as well as the importance of emerging markets. Special categories added this year include best Russia, Eastern Europe, Asia or Middle East/Africa focused hedge fund.

Three and 10-year awards will look at the best directional and non-directional hedge funds. Qualitative awards will recognise the best new and most innovative hedge fund of 2010 as well as the best overall group and investor relations team.

In addition to the winners of the individual fund awards, Hedge Funds Review will be honouring an individual for their outstanding contribution to the industry at a gala dinner to be held at 8 Northumberland in London on May 18, 2011.

Nominations close on March 11, 2011. A shortlist will be published in the May issue of Hedge Funds Review .
