New York (HedgeCo.Net) – Global hedge fund and institutional trading firm BTIG LLC, has opened a new office in Atlanta dedicated to the Southeast region. This is the latest of BTIG’s moves to strengthen its local presence in key regional markets.
The new office is located in Atlanta’s Buckhead district and is headed by Beatrix Kondor. Kondor joins BTIG from Knight Securities. She is a 20-year veteran in institutional sales, having spent the past eight years in Knight’s Atlanta office and also having served at Merrill Lynch and Kidder Peabody.
“An opportunity arose to hire a talented institutional sales trader, enabling us to expand into the Southeast with a strong presence in Atlanta,” Steven Starker, Co-Founder of BTIG said. “We are looking forward to building our team and further expanding our focus on the Southeast.”
