Hedge fund manager made $5bn last year

Guardian – Hedge fund manager John Paulson is thought to have made more than $5bn (£3.15bn) last year – probably the biggest annual profit in investing history.

Paulson’s estimated take trumped the near-$4bn he made with his “short” bets against sub-prime morgages in 2007, the Wall Street Journal reported today.
