Friday, January 29, 2010 : PermalinkMovie Review – Michael Douglas is back as Gordon Gekko (in a new trailer), just in time to catch the latest wave of Wall Street greed in the sequel to his 1987 movie. This time, hedge funds are the instruments of destruction instead of rapacious takeover firms.
Nonetheless, the Oliver Stone-directed movie officially titled “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps,” is right for the times, even if it is a little behind the curve. The economy crashed with the financial meltdown in 2008 although it is still reeling from the after shocks.
